This privately owned cottage is a 19th century, end terrace of three cottages on the main street in Thurlestone. Its cosy frontage belies the spaciousness within. It has been lovingly restored, whilst retaining its character and charm, and is furnished and equipped to a luxurious level by the designer owners, who purchased it in 1997. |
There is a lovely light sitting room, dining area and a large well-equipped kitchen and shower room on the ground floor. On the first floor are a double (with sea views) and a twin bedroom and main bathroom. A spiral staircase leads up to the second floor twin bedroom, with en suite loo and vanitory unit. Two Velux windows give great views over rolling countryside and the sea. |

Location
Thurlestone, mentioned in the Domesday Book, nestles in the glorious and lush countryside of the South Hams area of south Devon. It is a coastal village, on the edge of the SW Coastal Path, which is a joy to walkers, both local and long distance.

- Within walking distance to the west are Bantham and it's sandy beach, from which one has a good view of Burgh Island and Bigbury beach.
- About 5 miles away is the end-of-estuary country town of Kingsbridge, which has many independent shops, a museum and a leisure centre/swimming pool.
- The bustling sailing town of Salcombe, with it's narrow, winding streets, is 9 miles away.
- To the east, the next village is Outer Hope and Hope Cove.
